Maybe someday after having contractions squeeze your spine for days on end, you can comment on how easy it is to sit through an epidural and delivery. All 3 of mine were intense back labor, my last being at 43 weeks and hard contractions for over 72 hours easily.

@swiggey2 I’m 29 and have now given birth to 3 children, my children are 11 months, 2 years and 6 years. I have had an epidural with my younger children. It did help me as my 2nd son was over 10Lbs, but it is not for everyone obviously. You can’t see the needle, and it depends on the hospital if they allow partners to stay, mine didn’t because I had known back problems so it was a precaution, but this is not always the case.

@OfficialCourtney Well i would say that your first labor should be on epi ( in my opinion ) Because it lasts longer, lot more pain to go through (in general at 1st child) then for 2nd and more labors you can go natural because it goes faster and better (in normal circumstances)

@TJnJadasmommy I think we are all different too but I sure do wish their were more to do natural child birth, I have no one to talk to, I get ridiculed for my choice when it’s my baby, but they don’t know and assume it’s worse and that I’m a idiot ,but they have never done it ,most of the population of America has not had a natural birth at all.. Epidural does not always work the way it’s supose to. When my sister gave birth it only worked on half of her body. When a friend of mine gave birth they had to turn off the epidural because the baby was stressed. So if you do not find a way to manage pain whitout drugs you might panic if you cant get any.

@mynaturalchildbirth I don’t believe so, I was trying to have my baby natural but my blood pressure became irregular and I would have had a stroke if I had not taken the epidural shot. But everyone has different pain tolerance. My baby delivered herself while I was sleeping. I woke up and she was half way out of my body. My husband had to rush to get my mid-wife. No complications and I am proud to say she is 19 months today:
